Tania Lopes - Principal

Tania Lopes attained a Certificate IV in Performing Arts at Brent Street Studios. She has been dancing since the age of 5 and has trained in FATD Jazz and Tap as well as RAD Ballet. Tania has had extensive training and experience throughout her life in all dance styles, both in Australia and Internationally, and has taught and worked in the industry as a teacher, choreographer and as a performer.
Tania has performed alongside artists such as Alexis Jordan and Short Stack.

Her TV and film credits include; Dancer in movie musical ‘Goddess’ starring Ronan Keating, Australia’s Next Top Model shooting Short Stack film clip, Sydney Festival Bee Movie, Sunrise, NRL Centenary game and Mornings with Kerri-Anne.
Tania teaches all styles of dance offered at DANCE on Q.




Kristina Dickinson - Principal

Kristina started dancing at the age of 5 years in her hometown,Sydney Australia. She has trained in many dance styles such as, jazz, tap, ballet, musical theatre and lyrical. To help pursue her career in dance she studied fulltime at ED5 International to complete a Certificate IV in Performing arts, where she studied with some of Australia’s Top Choreographers. Kristina has since worked and performed with various artists such as, Kelly Rowland, Delta Goodrem, Brian McFadden and Paulini. Kristina also performed live on the finale of Australian Idol in 2007. She was also accepted into a Contemporary Company called ‘Locreado Dance Company’ and toured around Australia with them. Shortly after, Kristina was offered her first contract with Princess Cruises on the Royal Princess and has since gone on to complete 3 other contracts with Princess. She is now home and continuously performing in a Michael Jackson tribute show all around Sydney.




Gabi Joice

Gabi Joice has been coaching Gymnastics at Castle Hill RSL Club for 6 years after being a Gymnast herself for 10 years. She has coached a range of streams, levels, ages and abilities over the years and has been working in the High Performance stream for the past 5 years with the same squad of talented gymnasts.

In 2012 Gabi completed her Degree in Primary Education from the Australian Catholic University and now teaches at St Angela's Primary School.



Hayley Wright

Hayley Wright is an experienced gymnastics and dance teacher. She competed in Cheerleading for 7 years in Levels 2 to 5, winning multiple national titles. In 2012 she won a bid to attend the world championships in Florida USA. Her coaching qualifications include Level 1 & 2 International USAF Cheerleading Coach and Level 1 Ausport Coaching. Hayley is currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Primary Education.






Victoria Laird - Head of Ballet

Victoria’s passion for dance started when she was just 3 years old. She has since danced in the Hills District studying all forms of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary & Musical Theatre. Victoria completed her Certificate in Ballet teaching studies in 2012 and is now fully qualified with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) which is the only internationally accredited Ballet syllabus. This accreditation allows Victoria to not only teach the RAD syllabus but also send students for their ballet exams. Victoria has continued her professional development attending numerous courses throughout the years, such as an intensive workshop in ‘Progressing Ballet Technique’ produced by Marie Walton-Mahon and she also attended ‘The Introduction to Grades Four and Five’ course run by the RAD. Victoria will continue to attend many courses to keep her teaching methods fresh and up to date. It has always been Victoria’s dream to inspire the younger generation in hope that they take her skills, expertise and love of the arts and make it their own.




Laura Scarfo

Laura began dancing at the age of 3. She studied at ED5 International, completing a Certificate IV in Performing Arts where she had the privilege of working with Australia’s top choreographers. Throughout her career, Laura has performed at the Australian MTV awards and Dolly Teen Choice Awards as well as film clips and shows for various artists including Ricki Lee and Angus & Julia Stone. For the last 3 years Laura has worked for Princess Cruises, travelling and performing around the world.






Max Patterson

Originally from the Gold Coast, QLD, Max started dancing at the age of 3 under the direction of Peta Norton before completing his Diploma in Performing Arts at ED5 International. Max has worked alongside Choreographers such as Dein Perry, Jason Coleman, Matt Lee and The Squared Division. Credits include The Helpmann Awards, The Dally M Awards and numerous corporate performances and international live stage shows throughout Asia & the Middle East. In 2013, Max was privileged to play the role of “Tap” in David Atkins internationally celebrated ‘Hot Shoe Shuffle’. More recently Max played the role of "Big Deal" in The Production Company's 'West Side Story. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at Dance on Q last year, and can't wait to get into the brilliant year ahead.





Julie-Ann Mansour

Jweles started dancing at 3 years of age, and trained in all dance genres including ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary and tap. Jweles completed the Tap RAD Syllabus finishing with Gold Medal exam. She has also trained in RAD ballet and will commence her Advanced 2 exam in the near future. Jweles attended Newtown High school of the Performing Arts and is training at Ev and Bow Fulltime Dance Company to attain a Certificate IV in the Performing Arts this year.






Emma Twomey

Emma Twomey is an experienced Tumbling Coach and has been tumbling for the past 10 years. Emma has competed in Cheerleading over the past 6 years and has won many national titles at the AASCF nationals competitions. Her qualifications include Level 1 - 3 USASF Cheerleading and Tumble Coach. Emma is currently studying a Bachelor of Business/ Bachelor of Law.







Jess Rego

Jessica Rego has been dancing, singing and acting for many years. Jess is currently studying her Certificate IV in Dance Triple Threat at Brent Street. Jessica has performed in Circustasia Kids Shows at a number of venues throughout 2011, she was also in the musical Candy Man in 2012. Since 2013, Jess has been performing for Showtime Attractions doing character suit work. Some of the shows she has been in include; Alvin and the Chipmunks, Hoot and Hootable, Santa’s Christmas Parade, How to Train a Dragon, Mr and Mrs Potato Head and Tom and Jerry. Jess was also in The Johny Show (Johny impersonator) as a dancer and performed in the flashmob for the Toyota Dinner at Dolton House 2015.





Brodie Kelly

Brodie Kelly is a classically trained dancer. After graduating the Mcdonald College from part-time ballet in 2014 she then went on to fulltime training at Academy Ballet to complete her Diploma of Elite Dance Performance. Brodie has been taught by professionals such as Gina Brescianini, Vicki Attard, Joshua Consadine and Josephine Jason. With a great passion for teaching, she enjoys sharing her love for dancing and fitness. Brodie has recently completed her Level 1 Yoga Teachings in Byron Bay and is currently studying for her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance.
